Martin Daly - Consultant

My name is Martin Daly and I joined Redrambler Limited in August 2019.

For the majority of my career, I worked in management accounting for BT primarily in Preston and Manchester. In 2007, I decided to make a career change and headed to the Education sector. The motivating factor for this move was the desire to work in an area where I could make a positive and constructive difference directly. I worked for a period of time as a local authority financial support officer and for the past eleven years as a school business manager in a couple of fairly large secondary schools. I obtained the DSBM qualification back in 2010 and also the IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) in 2010.

As someone that has working experience of both the primary and secondary school environments, I recognise the challenges that schools and in particular school business managers face as cost pressures continue to increase and legislation demands greater accountability.

I firmly believe that there is a clear role for organisations such as Redrambler to provide informed, constructive and helpful advice and support to schools as the task of monitoring, due diligence and strategic planning becomes ever more pressured. The underlying situation currently is one where schools have to continually do ‘more with less’ and the need to improve is constant. Redrambler is very well placed to provide all schools with helpful support covering all aspects of financial activity from planning through to audit - and everything in between. Assurance, accountability and improvement are at the heart of what Redrambler deliver and I consider myself fortunate to be working with them to 'help schools achieve more'.
